A long time ago people were using rotating device to store electromagnetic information, those rotating devices were drawing a lot of power, spinning real fast and fragile when encountering vibrations.

Then a revolution occurred and Solid State Drive became a great way to store data without electricity.

After 10 to 20 years of research and market evolution, SATA is becoming a legacy solution, if you are lucky enough to have a NVME port on your motherboard it's now possible to get around 1TO below 100€

I tried NVME recently, loved the price, the installation required a bit of tweaking and a precise 30° angle for perfect insertion, it's working fine now.
